Washington Auto Insurance – WA Car Insurance
Washington drivers have been severely hit with a 120% surcharge in their auto insurance rates since 2005. Such an increase, all though common across the US, should not be taken to mean consumers are helpless in the insurance buying process. The best way to stick it to the insurance companies is to change which company insurers your vehicle based on who is charging you the least. In other words, you should be educating yourself every year on what auto insurance quotes companies are offering and switch insurers appropriately. This way you can save on your car insurance in Washington.
Washington Auto Insurance Requirements
Washington operates under the Tort system and as such all drivers deemed at-fault for an accident are to cover the costs of the damages they do to someone’s body and/or property. This is covered under the coverages of bodily injury liability and property damage liability. The minimum coverage requirement is as follows:
- Bodily injury per person is $25,000
- Bodily injury per accident is $50,000
- Property damage liability is $10,000
